Having tasted the freedom of Basic Income, i refuse the Chains of ODSP.

TheĀ  Ontario Basic Income Program gave me back my Dignity . I felt that my community was showing me, I was a valued member. By putting money where its mouth is, and equally important, where my mouth is. Rather than Poverty the forced upon me by my Government with its Ontario Disability Support Program and Ontario Welfare rates. Once I became paraplegic I was poor, full stop. Nothing but the basics anymore. Sadly, their distain did not need to be spoken, I could feel it, taste it. Through their smiles, so I Jumped through hoop after hoop, did their little required dance, For their measly assistance. Gratefully Basic Income cleansed my wounds. Healed me, refreshed my Spirit and shifted everything. I stand for Basic Income. I ask you to do the same. It will heal our culture also by changing old paradigms and creating new healthy ones. BASIC INCOME ISN’T. It has a multitude of layers, not unlike our Auras, not seen by all, but there nonetheless, spreading Positivity and Hope. The Freedom of OBIP will always inspire and motivate me to fight for it. It will change us as a culture.
